Narcissists are not psychopaths. They have emotions — they have just shut it all down and learned to cope in a different way. Underneath it all, they are quite emotionally sensitive. Unfortunately, our culture promotes shutting down of emotions as a path toward success — they adapt and are rewarded for it. That’s why they look at people who embrace their emotions with disdain. Don’t fall for it. A psychopath, on the other hand, is far more dangerous.
